2nd CALL FOR POSTERS
Poster Submission:
- - Submission of abstracts (2nd call) - 12th April
- - Communication of the acceptance of the summaries (2nd call) – 29th - 30th April
- - Poster Article Submission (1st and 2nd call)- 10th May
- - Poster delivery at the APEA Secretariat (1st and 2nd call) - 16th May
- - Thematic areas of the Posters: Policy and Regulation; Odour Sampling and Measurement; Odour Control and Abatement Techniques; Odour Management - sectoral case studies (waste sector, water sector, industry - Paper mills, Petrochemical, Chemical, Food industries, Agriculture and livestock sector, Others)
Steps to follow for online Submission of Abstracts:
- - To submit the poster abstract, the candidates should send the email with the document in PDF format to eventos@apea.pt.
- - It should be included in the subject of the email "Submission to 2nd Call for Posters".
Rules for Submission of Abstracts
- - The abstracts to be submitted will focus on relevant issues through the accepted thematic areas: Policy and Regulation; Odour Sampling and Measurement; Odour Control and Abatement Techniques; Odour Management - sectoral case studies (waste sector, water sector, industry - Paper mills, Petrochemical, Chemical, Food industries, Agriculture and livestock sector, Others)
- - Abstracts should have a maximum of two pages and be written in English and in Times New Roman font, 12 pt, 1.5 spacing between lines, 6 pt spacing and 3 cm margins.
- - The abstract should mention the Call for Posters, the title of the article, the name of the author (s) and contact of the author with whom all correspondence (e-mail, postal address and telephone) should be established, as well as the institution to which it belongs, if applicable.
- - The abstracts must be submitted electronically to the email: eventos@apea.pt.
Rules for Posters
The authors of the abstracts of the selected posters should:
- - Present the poster (maximum size 1m width and 2m height) at the APEA secretariat during the morning of the first day of the Congress.
- - Send the poster article, of up to 10 pages, in digital format, until 10th May, in order to integrate the Congress's online minutes book.
- - The written working language for Posters will be English and Portuguese, except in exceptional cases previously agreed with the Organizing Committee.
- NOTE: The presentation of poster does not exempt the registration in the Congress, of at least one of its authors. In cases where the same author submits more than one poster, his / her registration will be enough for a maximum of two posters to be presented at XIV CNEA | ODOURS19. For more than two posters, another co-author must sign up. In the submission of posters, the author (s) should indicate which posters they wish to present, and which correspond to their inscription.
Rules for Poster Article
The poster article should not exceed 10 pages, including pictures and attachments.
The poster article must be submitted electronically until 10th May.
The poster article must obey the following formatting rules:
- - Font: Times New Roman.
- - Page Format: - Top Margin - 3 cm. - Lower margin (Bottom) - 3 cm. - Left margin - 3 cm; Right margin - 2 cm.
- - Title: titles must be small (maximum three lines), but with enough information; bold, letter size 11, centred, with three spaces in relation to the top margin.
- - Author (s): font size 10, bold, centred, with a blank line of range in relation to the title.
- - Address of the institution (s): letter size 9, centred.
- - Summary: in English, letter size 9, with indentation to the left and right of 1 cm, single space.
- - Keywords: each article must be accompanied by a list of 3 to 4 keywords, identifying the content of the article; font size 9, immediately following the table of contents (leaving a blank range line)
- - Text: font size 10, single spacing. Paragraphs of the text: first line 0,5 cm.
- - Titles in the text: font size 10, upper case. Authors referred to in the text: font size 10, upper case.
- - Figures or tables: illustrations (drawings or photographs) of good quality, in black and white, so that they can be enlarged or reduced.
- - Subtitles: font size 9.
- - Acknowledgments: font size 9.
- - Bibliographical references: font size 9, containing: author (s) (in capital letters, arranged alphabetically). (date) - Title of the article or of the book (in italics in the second case). Journal, in abbreviated italic; when in doubt write the full name of the magazine.
- - Each quotation - 1st line 0 cm, remaining lines forward 0.3 cm.
Notes:
- - The written working language for Posters Articles will be English and Portuguese, except in exceptional cases previously agreed with the Organizing Committee.
- - All figures, maps and other illustrations should be presented in versions that can be opened in Word (extensions: pcx, bmp, jpg, tiff, cbr, gif, jpeg, emf, tga, pcb).
- - The writing of the communication should follow the current standards of scientific writing. In the notation of quantities and physical units, the International System of Units must be used.
